Animal Antics

In my last post I told you how much I love animals.  There are two that are very close to my heart.
The first is our family cat Tig.  Tig is an eight year old tortoiseshell cat. We got her when she was 10 weeks old and she has been with us ever since.  Tig is a typical cat in that she does her own thing she eats a lot and sleeps a lot but every now and again she comes and sits with us all and she is an integral part of my family.  The second is Mikey, he is owned by my best friend.  He is a collie spaniel cross and came from the dogs trust when he was four months old.  It was love at first sight for us all when we first saw Mikey especially for my son who has Aspergers Syndrome.  Mikey is responsible for improving his social skills and interacting with people and they are the best of friends.  Mikey is a gorgeous loveable big dog as you can see.

He is under the impression that he is a human and regularly sits up on a seat at my kitchen table with everyone else.  He also thinks that he is smaller than he is and my son has affectionately named him Thunderpaws.  Mishaps follow Mikey and he never ceases to make me laugh when I hear about his latest escapades.  He has been known to lock himself in the car with the keys inside and his owners outside.  His latest escapade was getting himself ensconced within a duvet from head to toe.  My friend says he was moving round the bedroom like Casper the ghost and it took ten minutes to free him. Mikey cheers up every day he has a great personality and brings joy to everybody he meets.

Anyone who has pets love to spoil them so these next pictures will fill you with inspiration as to what to buy for them next.

New blog

I started this blog last year but have only plucked up the courage to write my first post.

In this first post I want to tell you a little about myself.  My name is Christina I am in my early forties and that is as much as I'm divulging.  I live in Co Antrim Northern Ireland with a husband who has a cleaning obsession (luckily for me) a son who has Aspergers syndrome and a cat who think she is the boss.

I work full time as a Civil Servant a job I don't much like but pays the bills.  My real love is knitting.  It is a complete obsession of mine.  I have a craft room full of it.  I have shops on Folksy and Etsy called Yarnawayknits.  I specialize in making knitted accessories including scarves and hats and other things in between.  My other loves are reading, animals and anything to do with angels.

In this blog you can expect to see all things crafty, not only will I be showing you my own makes but I will also be showcasing other designers and crafters who inspire me.

To finish this post I am showing you a picture of my newest make which will be featured in my Etsy shop very soon.

Thank you for reading feel free to leave comments on things you would like to see in this blog.
